Tony says, as well as supporting your vision, systems also help define your brand and create your level of customer service. And they'll help you keep track of performance measured against your targets.
He says it’s important that all systems are capable of being tied back to job descriptions and KPIs. It’s also critical that ALL staff are capable of being trained in the systems. Tony Gattari says business process training should be the highest of priorities.
It’s one thing to dump a 300 page manual in front of a new staff member, and another to get them to actually read it. Make sure the training is entertaining! Tony also says you should ensure your systems will be relevant in five years - will they take you where you want to go in the future?

Great business process modelling equals a great business
Tony Gattari says your goal should be to build a system which is so great, that the business itself becomes the system. Things will run like clockwork, even when the owner is not around. The system looks after the team, the team looks after the customer, and the customer pays the owner.
Effectively, the owner has a responsibility to be the system creator, developer, and maintainer. In essence, if you have the right system, you’ll have a great business.
