Your organisation has a problem. So big, in fact, that the media are bashing on the front door of your business wanting answers. Do you know how to handle the dilemma properly? By this stage it might be too late to seek media advice. You should arm yourself with professional training on how to handle the media before they get to the foot-in-the-door stage.
With the support of DR and Associates, Business Essentials is one of very few training companies in Australia that constructs individual Crisis Management workshops.
The workshop process is two-fold. First, we visit you. We need to know the way your company works, its culture and vulnerabilities. Naturally, this interview is conducted in the strictest confidence. It is essential we are briefed by someone who will not be attending the workshop, as delegates must not be pre-warned of the scenarios presented or their roles within them.
From this background material, we construct two potential crises. You check the scenarios for accuracy. At this point, delegates are nominated, their role-plays assigned, question areas are formulated.
Delegates work through one crisis in the morning and a second in the afternoon. They are involved in role-playing, including media interviews, pressure group handling, and government inquiries, to simulate a crisis as realistically as possible. The scenarios are videotaped, constructively critiqued and all delegates have a copy of their personal performance to take away. |
