JULY 2009 |
The Economy 2009/10 |
Professor Neville Norman, Melbourne University |
Business Essentials economist Professor Neville Norman gives his forecasts for the Australian economy in financial year 2009/10. He says the Rudd Government's stimulus packages have worked, though the government has made other mistakes. And he believes official Treasury forecasts are too gloomy: he sees early signs of a recovery, which could lead to interest rates rising again in 2010, along with inflation.
