People under 30 are a global generation - going to the same websites and influenced by the same consumer trends and lifestyle issues. Researcher and author Mark McCrindle says Generation Y now represents 18 percent of the Australian workforce and within a decade that figure will pass 30 percent. They'll also soon emerge as our future leaders., so it's important to understand them. As employees, they look for a flexible and inclusive work environment. As consumers, they want to be involved, not dictated to. If we ignore them in our marketing, we'll miss out on the future.
