Chris O'Brien was only twenty when he developed a concept for a machine to crush polystyrene foam into a recyclable product. He took his idea to China, and surmounted the language barrier and a process of trial and error to design and manufacture the Hungry Giant. Sheer persistence won him contracts with major white goods retailers and now - seven years after it all began - he's reshaping waste recycling and extending his client base into a number of industries. He still loves face-to-face contact with his customers, but has to focus on strategy and business development to achieve the growth he knows is possible.
